Dream Log #1: The Disintegrating Hand
February 3rd, 2012 by Zach 2 comments »“Dream Log, chapter 1. The Disintegrating Hand.”
Welcome, one and all, to the first edition of the new Dream Log series on The Aspie Geek. Be warned, these can be freaky and/or mind-boggling; sometimes these don’t make sense! Here we go.
This dream happened the night of February 2nd between midnight and 4:30am. It all started in a Mexican villa with an unknown family my mom and I were staying with. It was quite large with lots of rooms and amenities. Suddenly, the skin on my right hand starts to shed off in large patches, revealing not the dermis or muscle but… a spongy material that keeps my phalanges in place. Don’t ask. After a short period of time, the skin is regenerated but is totally detached – kind of like a thin skin glove. This glove would always fall off, causing intense pain and discomfort. I thought of putting on the gloves and wetting my hand to get the skin to adhere but to no avail.
Soon, the skin would again regenerate but correctly this time but there was one thing that was off: a brown, mole-like mark on the base of my middle finger that indicated a form of skin cancer. Soon, I would develop holes in my fingers as my hand would disintegrate but I felt no pain. My mom rushed me to the hospital but all they could do was inspect and refer me to a surgeon. I would awaken at this time two hours before I had to wake up.
Upon waking up, I went to check my hand to see if it was real. Luckily, it wasn’t. Totally intact and functioning. Thank God. After inspecting, I went back to sleep for the next 2 hours till my alarm goes off. Don’t think I dreamt during that time.
Thank you for taking interest in the first of many dream logs found on this blog. Geek, out!
New Feature: Dream Logging
February 3rd, 2012 by Zach No comments »I’ve noticed throughout my life, I’ve had very strange dreams… some being off-the-wall nuts and some being shit-brix insane. And what better way to share them than logging them?! Am I right? And lemme tell ya, I have some weeeeeird dreams. Shows how badly I sleep sometimes…
So here’s what’s gonna happen. If I’m able to recollect the dream I had the night before that’s worth writing about, it’ll be here. Know what? Let’s kick things off with a bang by introducing Dream Log #1: The Disintegrating Hand. It will be a separate post as to keep everything organized and relevant. And be prepared… these can get freaky as crap. Let this be a warning to you, everyone.

Dreaming Forever: The Truth About Heaven & Hell
August 10th, 2011 by Zach 1 comment »You ever heard the saying “sleep forever” meaning to die? Well, what do you do when you sleep? Dream, right? Yeah, you dream. This is also what you do when you die: dream. There is no “Heaven” or “Hell,” believe it or not.
Ever since Christianity was “publicized”/exploited during the Medieval times, there’s been lots of talk about going to Heaven and Hell; most want to go to Heaven and to avoid going south. Don’t call me sacrilegious because of this post but this is truth. Early philosophers and religious figures proclaimed Heaven as the ultimate nice place and Hell being a place of fire and ultimate bad place. Truth is, it’s your brain making the illusion of peace and spite based on its experiences.
What I mean by this is, if you lived a regret-free life and your mind was blissful, you’ll “live” peacefully in the afterlife. If you had major guilt or burden such as a murder or something you regretted, your mind will repeat those events over and over for eternity, much like what’s depicted in fiction (bad things you did are done to you ad infinitum). In a nutshell, your brain sets up its own world based on experiences and keeps you there till it shuts down. Of course, no one really knows what it’s like after you die but this is my personal opinion.
